Aetheria Epics is an interactive webcomic RPG for the [your browser of choice here] home game console that takes place within the incredible and diverse world of Aetheria. Using the new Dynamic Choice Engine, Aetheria Epics let's you make choices that will determine not only the course of events surrounding your characters, but the personalities and abilities of these characters as well!

The DCE works by giving you choices to make on behalf of the main character at regular intervals. Think hard before you make your decision, though, because each choice you make is irreversible and has a lasting effect on the personality of your character. In this way the DCE allows the story to maintain a consistent level of characterisation while still ultimately putting the choice in the hands of the readerplayer.

Over the course of a given character's arc, these decisions will icreasingly solidify his or her personality until the choices you're given are much more trivial than the earlier character-defining ones. At the point where a character is more or less completely defined, the authorgame code will be winding down that character's story arc to completion as well, creating a fully fleshed out story.

But it doesn't end there! Aetheria is a huge world with many different people and even more stories to tell. Just as one character's story is ending, another's will just be getting started. Perhaps with a completely different personality and in a completely different place, but that's up to you and your choices! And who knows, perhaps the 'completed' characters and their friends will cross paths with newer characters during their individual adventures as well. In the vast world of Aetheria you never know what will happen next, but it's up to you to decide how to approach it.
